There is a new challenge coming up from perles-dentelles.com blog involving leaves.
I have entered it, since I love flowers and leaves.

In March, there was a workshop for a circular brick stitch bracelet but I didn't want a bracelet so I made a necklace.  Here is a picture of Coco's bracelet.

If you would like to see the work and interpretation of the other participants, you can visit the blog at this site: Coco's Brick stitch bracelet .

Unfortunately, since I didn't follow their instructions (it wasn't exactly clear, plus everything was in French), they wouldn`t post my necklace because that wasn't part of the workshop so I decided to post it here on my blog.

I did start out with the intension of making a bracelet, but the circles demanded to be big, bold and colorful and I didn't want a huge sized bracelet. Oh well.... 😊

Do you like circular brick stitch ? Do you know how to make it ? The basic stitch is not hard but I did have a very hard time finding any information on how to add partial circles on the sides and on top.

If you want a good tutorial for circular brick stitch, I would recommend Laura Zeiner's tutorial on Etsy Laura Zeiner/StickLizardDesigns.
When I first posted Laura's necklace as an example of what I wanted to do, I ommited Laura's name as the designer, but only because I didn't think about it at the time and immediately corrected that mistake once I realized it.
I got a lot of greif and was even unfriended because people thought I wanted to copy/re-engineer the necklace but if you knew me, you would know, that is not my style and I don't like wasting time figuring out other peoples' designs.
All I wanted to know was the technique. Some friends defended me and one good hearted person came to my rescue, my friend Julie Riecher Vasquez. Out of the goodness of her heart, she saw my predicament and after I explained to her privately what had happened she sent me the tutorial, as a gift, even though I didn't ask her for it or expect it. I will always be super grateful to have such a lovely friend.
